Catching up: Arizona

I think I have one more big catch up and that was our trip to Arizona with my parents which was very nice.  Paul had to go there for a business trip (Phoenix) and we invited my parents along and we stayed at a nice resort in town.  We spent a lot of quality time together at the lazy river and the pool and Lizzie really seemed to like it.  My cousin Sheldon and his wife Nancy and two kids Adrian and Calea also came and that was a lot of fun!  I am so happy we all had that time together.  Below are some random pictures first of our trip to Colorado and then some great Arizona pics.  We really enjoyed our time together at the temple as a family.

Snow in Heber

We got our first snow of the season this week - Oct 23.  Isn't it lovely??  Little Lizzie looked at the snow falling in wonder.

Elisabeth is 19 months old!!

Unfortunately, I so recently blogged about her turning 18 months that not much new has happened since then. But did I mention that she is weighs 27 pounds and has the cutest giggle at night??  Also, she understands so much of what I say to her and LOVES to be a helper with the laundry or at the grocery store, putting food on the conveyor belt or bringing her "dada" his shoes.  And did I mention that she loves to giggle at night?  ; ) Sorry baby girl.  I can't think of what else is new but I do love you terribly!

Catching Up: Our vacation to Mexico last month

Aaaah Mexico.  A few lovely weeks ago (mid September) Paul and I took our second babymoon of our lives (first one to Europe) and went to Mexico.  I am proud to say that I booked a fabulous but cheap trip (used mileage for our flight and hotel).  We stayed at the Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen which is about 30 mins outside of Cancun and had a ball!!  I took Elisabeth to my parents' home a few days early so that she could get acclimated and then Paul and I met up at the airport on Monday morning in Denver and flew off to Mexico.  It was great from start to finish.  I was still feeling sick at that time so it was nice for me to relax and Paul loved our explorations into the Mayan ruins.  Here are a bunch of pics of us enjoying our time...

First morning at the hotel

Wonderful views!

Happy!

We at the most delicious breakfasts there!! True Mexican cuisine is unbeatable

Paul at Tulum

Tulum right on the ocean is so pretty

So Playa has a bunch of Italian immigrants living there. We had some yummy Italian food.

Night swimming - the best!

Chichen Itza

They played ball to the death here - yikes

Prettiest place Ek Balam

They even had an observatory back in those days

Those stairs are scary steep. I only went up halfway but Paul went all the way

Check out the details here.  Interesting...

Again, best food ever!

Went snorkeling at this place called Yal Ku. One of the best days of my life!

Paul at the carts and crafts station

In Heaven!
